Every moment of mindfulness,
every moment of relaxed, alert presence …
every moment in which the mind is not
grasping at something it thinks it needs
or trying to get away from something8
it thinks it doesn’t want
is a moment of freedom.
Sometimes it’s called “presence…”
When we are present,
we see what needs to be done.
We also see the limits of what we can do.
Everything else is out of our hands.
